Sponge Cake
1-1/4 cup sugar
6 eggs
1/4 cup cold water
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1. Separate eggs and beat yolks for 5 minutes.
2. Beat in sugar and then water.
3. Sift flour and baking powder and add to egg yolks.
4. Beat together egg whites, salt and tarter. Beat until they hold a peak.
5. Add to other ingredients.
6. Bake in ungreased tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees fahrenheit for 1 hour.
